Yu-Gi-Oh! is back on PSP with Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s Tag Force 4! Based on the new TV animated series, the game’s story mode contains elements from the “Dark Signers” episode of the latest series. The new visuals have been completed reworked in order to perfectly recreate the characters and scenes from the TV series; the anime look impressively brings to life the 14 duelists and their large numbers of assistants.
The same graphics have also been used to create the many traps, spells and monsters used in the battles with lots of detail and the adjustable in-game camera shows the varied duels from many different angles.
Story mode focuses on the singleplayer adventure in Neo Domino City and other places from the TV series. Searching and exploring the game areas can also be used to meet other characters and challenge them to duels, or buy new trading cards and add them to your own deck.
Each of the numerous characters has their own deck with unique strengths, offering a number of difficulty levels. So over time, the players duel against increasingly tougher opponents and create their perfect deck in order to become the champion of the game.
All in all, the title offers more than 300 hours of gaming fun, which is sure to please even the most skilled Yu-Gi-Oh! Fans!
In multiplayer mode, up to four duelists battle each other, with one-vs-one and two vs-two duels as well as their variations also being supported. The PSP’s online feature makes it possible to download additional content.
Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s Tag Force 4 is a new highlight in the Yu-Gi-Oh! series, and Konami has included three exclusive trading cards in the game. Players can enter passwords found on the real trading cards to use them within the game and perfect their decks and strategies.
