As games go, this is a well polished piece. The game itself is brilliantly decorated for a feel of suspense and horror with amazing graphics. i must say though that if you played the first Dead Space then this has noticeable changes which for made it a little less dark and scary, and more action based. The Story itself was interesting, if not a tad generic but each level was still addictive making you want to carry on. On a personal note, I preferred the fact that Issac didn't speak in the first one, he was the silent hero which made him cooler. But i can't rate the game down for that. The multiplayer seemed a bit of a side thought, and given the games movement style, didn't really work well for me. Overall, an excellent sequel which sticks mainly to the original games feel and continues on the story. Definately worth renting... Oh and if your a trophy hunter don't rent this just for the platinum, some of the trophies are near impossible to achieve.

Dead Space 2 is a brilliant survival horror game; there are plenty of times when it made me jump and times when I was just like 'S**T S**T S**T' running away from hordes of necromorphs. Definitely recommend it to people, especially if you played the original... returning to the Ishimura is just one of the highlights.

As with DS1 this game is superb. Very atmospheric and makes you jump all over the place :) The only annoying factor is the trophies require you to play through the game more than once which is not something I do very often.

Greater than the first dead space. :-)) The extra content on through ps3 disc is worth the cost of a full price game alone. Scary as Hell. Recommend 100%.

Amazing game! once I started playing could not put down the controller! A fresh take on the survival horror games loved the sci fi element of the whole story, totally recommend it to anyone

Very jumpy. Quality game. Not much replay value though apart from higher difficulties; which also lowers the shock value as you've seen it all before.

absolutely brilliant game, well done creators.5 stars surely!!!!

a truelly classic game miles better than the 1st one try playing this at night with surround sound large tv(i have 47")and lights out its scary as hell i think this is the game of the yr didnt want to return it im deffo buying this

Wow, having not played a sci fi horror before I was very reluctant to rent this game and I'm glad I did. It has an 'Aliens' feel to it so playing it late at night really brings the game into its own atmosphere. Your put into the action straight away which puts you in the pefect mindset with your finger on the trigger not knowing whats around the next corner. The flashing images of light with an enviroment which has been set down to perfection give the game the perfect eerie feeling followed by brilliant action sequences that keep you on your toes from beginning to end. This game is worth the rent and a buy even if you've never ventured into a horror game and only makes you want to go out and play the next one. Time to add the original Dead Space to the list.

Every bit as good as the the first Dead Space, but with added improvements here and there, and, of course, a new story. A truly nightmarish game, and highly recommended. Especially to those who love survival horror games.
